mouse stuck after resumption from suspend

I'm making use of Ubuntu 10.04 on a Gateway TA1 convertable tablet COMPUTER. After I suspend by shutting the cover, and also resume by resuming the cover, I can not utilize my trackpad mouse any longer. Just how can I repair this?

This is absolutely a bug - I recommend you report it by pushing Alt+F2, getting in ubuntu-bug in package, and also adhering to the guidelines from there.
