How to stop iPad/Safari from dealing with particular numbers as 'contact number'?

I've obtained some web pages on an intranet that show mathematical prices to 4 decimal areas, eg 147.1453. When these web pages are watched on an iPad, several of these prices show up underscored and also clicking them creates the iPad to supply to create a new call, or include in an existing call. Plainly it assumes that the message stands for a contact number (which it does not actually, as we're in the UK and also contact number are not formatted with durations ).

Exists a means to stop this taking place - either with meta-data we can place in the website, or by transforming some setup in our iPads?

In the <head> of your website, add:

<meta name="format-detection" content="telephone=no" />

There's whole lots extra where this originated from at Apple URL Scheme Reference: Phone Links.
