Problems mounting Ubuntu Tweak

I'm new to Ubuntu and also caring it currently. I mounted Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and also intend to download and install and also install Ubuntu Tweak. I adhered to the adhering to procedure : system > manager > synaptic plan supervisor ... that were I can not continue and also obtained a mistake message :

E : dpkg was disturbed, you have to by hand run 'sudo dpkg-- set up -a' to deal with the trouble. E : _ cache- > open ( ) fell short, please record.

What am I to do to fix this trouble, without re-installing Ubuntu

Please open a Terminal from Applications>Accessories>Terminal after that duplicate and also paste this adhering to line 

sudo dpkg --configure -a

Enter your password, wait time and also done.
