Sharing Mac Snow Leopard directory site using NFS

I am running a Mac Pro making use of Snow Leopard (not web server). I would love to share a directory site with a linux equipment. I have actually modified/ etc/exports on the Mac to:

/Volumes/mstore/home/sdavis -maproot=root -rw

When I attempt to place this from a linux equipment, I get:

 sudo mount gale.nci.nih.gov:/Volumes/mstore/home/sdavis /tmp/abc
mount.nfs: access denied by server while mounting gale.nci.nih.gov:/Volumes/mstore/home/sdavis

Also, this is what I get for showmount - e on the Mac:

% showmount -e
Exports list on localhost:
%

In various other words, the place is not seen, evidently. Any kind of pointers? I have actually not located a lot excellent documents on sharing using NFS on the Mac, specifically for later OS variations.

Bad kind, I recognize, to address my very own inquiry, yet I required a pair extra actions, laid out here. Basically, I required to execute:

sudo nfsd update

As an additional information, I included the customer name to the export and also got rid of the" - rw" flag.
