Second gen ipod shuffle not collaborating with rhythmbox

I'm attempting to get a 2nd gen ipod shuffle to collaborate with Ubuntu 10.10. Regarding i recognize Rhythymbox needs to sustain this. When I connect the ipod in it turns up under the tools area of the food selection, yet afterwards I am incapable to do anything with it.

I can not see the tracks that are currently on it, I can not add new tracks, I can not do anything. When i effort to drag a track throughout, definitely nothing takes place. if i attempt the sync with collection alternative, it closes rhythymbox down entirely. Any kind of suggestions would certainly be substantially valued.

In reality, I got involved in several problems when I attempted to compel rhythmbox to collaborate with iPods (several generations). At some point, I got involved in verdict that rhythmbox is merely incapable to collaborate with them effectively. I experimented with some ipod - committed software program, yet the majority of become a pointless scrap ... yet there is one, I can advise you: it is Floola http://www.floola.com/ It offers you a straightforward yet effective accessibility to your iPod, I value the reality it was the only application that took care of to connect effectively with my iPod uncreative.
