Just how can I add a separator to the Place sidebar in nautilus?

I would certainly such as to drag a couple of even more folders to the places sidebar in nautilus, yet intend to team these new ones independently to the default folders (like Dropbox, Downloads and also Documents). Exists a means to add a new separator to the checklist?

Hack on the code.

AFAIK there's no gconf (or various other) means to modify the places that aren't book marks.

This is not excellent yet regarding I can see the only alternative you have except filing a bug and chasing it through or creating and also using a spot.

  • Open Nautilus
  • Browse to a directory that you do not intend to bookmark, as an example/ container
  • From the Bookmarks food selection click "Add Bookmark"
  • Then Right click the book mark for/ container and also pick "Rename ..."
  • Rename the book mark to "----------"
  • Close Nautilus and also open it once more
  • you currently have something that looks slightly yet not significantly like a separator.

EDIT : Looks like there is already a bug filed for this. Add your own point of view here.
